I like this book because it showed how bonds can change but everything will still be alright. It was a little easy for me to read.

Harbor Me
by Jacqueline Woodson

book cover

Harbor me by Jacqueline Woodson is a fiction book. The book was mainly about the narrator of the story, Haley, and her discussions with her friends. As part of a special class, Haley and her six classmates go to the ARTT (A Room To Talk) room every Friday to talk amongst themselves (without a teacher). At first, all the children have no idea what to talk about in the room. However, as time goes on, they start to open up about their lives and the many problems in the world. Talking with each other helped the children feel better about their own problems and even make new friends. Personally, I would rate this book a four out of five because the book itself was very meaningful and thoughtful but I think that it was a pretty slow book in comparison to other books that I have read before.

Welcome To Moldy Manor (geronimo Stilton #59)

This book was okay. I thought the author did not give a lot of information on how geronimo solved his problem of overspending. The one thing I liked about it was that it was very interesting to read about and how he handled the situation.

Starfish

Starfish by Lisa Fipps is a fiction poem book. The book is about the main character, Ellie, getting bullied by her friends, strangers, and even her own family just because of her weight. Ellie just wantes people to see her inside self, not just her looks. She must fight and gain courage to stand up for herself. Luckily, she isn't alone. Even though this book was a poem book (and I usually don't like poem books) I really enjoyed reading it. I think that many people who get bullied or don't get seen as their true selves would gain courage that they are not alone after reading the book.

Sunny

Sunny by Jason Reynolds is a realistic fiction. The book is mainly about Sunny and his life on and outside of track. Sunny was one of the best long-distance runners on the track team but didn't enjoy running anymore so he decided to try the discus instead. This book is the third book in the track series and was written as a diary. Personally, I would rate this book a 4 out of 5 because it focused more on Sunny's thoughts than what actually happened.

The Windeby Puzzle
by Lois Lowry

The Windeby Puzzle by Lois Lowry is a historical fiction. It is easy to read and you can learn more about a skeleton of a young child that was found in the Windeby bog. The author, Lois Lowry wrote the story in two different endings after she noticed that the first story she wrote was inaccurate. The second story is written by another character's point of view and the endings are different. Both the stories show the lives of Iron Age people. I loved how the author made an accurate story using the details that she had and I would recommend the book to people who like historical fiction.

Tales From A Not-so-happy Birthday

This book was okay because i felt that the author mainly focused on nikki's birthday party and not other things that she should be concerned about. But I liked that she solved her main problem of planning her dream party.

I found it pretty good but got boring later. And at the end Mayor Hubble pulled off a “April Fools” prank but it wasn’t on April the 1st! It was April the 2nd!
