TPS 2nd - 3rd Grade 2021 Summer Reading

This list was compiled by the Tenafly Public School Librarians and Literacy Staff Developer to include a variety of genres, interest levels, and diverse authors. These are only recommendations, not requirements.  Feel free to explore other titles and authors.

It is most important that students continue to read over the summer. The goal is to develop lifelong readers by providing positive reading experiences.

Reading has many benefits. Research has proven that reading exercises your brain, teaches you about the world around you, improves your vocabulary, leads to more highly-developed language skills, develops your imagination and encourages empathy.

All titles listed here can be found in multiple formats including digital copies on Hoopla or Libby. Books are ALWAYS available on Hoopla.  Use your library card to create an account at www.hoopladigital.com> or download the hoopla digital app from the app store for your mobile device.
